Basic Requirements

Trainees must fill out a user form supplied by the offering facility. All Arizona Tri-university personnel who want training in laboratories that work with hazardous chemicals must submit a copy of their General Laboratory Chemical Hygiene Training certification. Additionally, those working with any sample that may contain blood-borne pathogens must submit a copy of their certification. Please visit Risk Management for questions regarding the training and certification in this area. Visit The Radiation Control Office for training classes on radioactive materials, sealed radiation sources, ionizing radiation producing machines, and non-ionizing radiation producing machines, including lasers.

Appropriate certifications must be submitted to before training begins. Non Arizona Tri-university personnel may sign a release form before their training begins.
How to Get Started

At your meeting, you will need to submit your project proposal and your training goals. Shortly after your meeting, the instructor will give you a lesson plan that best fit your criteria within the limitations of the servicing facility. Once you both agree to a plan, you may proceed with the training program once all the necessary requirements/certifications are submitted.
