Real Time PCR

UAGC offers 3 Cyclers for Quantitative or Real Time PCR. After a brief training, local users can schedule time on the instrument and run their own samples. Real Time PCR is also utilized as one of the platforms in our genotyping services.

Users provide their own consumables when using the instruments. 

Expected Results

Real Time PCR provides a quantitative assessment of your sample for gene expression, gene transcription studies or targeted nucleic acids.

How to Get Started with your Sample Submission: 

  • Login to Sample Lifecycle Manager (SLM) and select 'Taqman Genotyping' as your workflow.
  • Upload your sample information.
  • Click Set Test. Enter your assay information (rs#, or gene expression assay name.*Note- assays must be purchased by researcher. Contact UAGC prior to your submission to discuss ordering of assay reagents.)
  • Click Submit tests
  • Record and attach the 4 letter code at the end of your SLM submission to your samples and send or deliver to UAGC
